The National Institute of Health and the Australian Medical Association have released a report which recommends taking a selfie in the event of a flu pandemic.
The report recommends that the public should take a self-portrait to show how they are doing during a pandemic, rather than having the photo taken.
“The photo should be taken at least once every 24 hours, and should include the person’s usual activity, and the person will likely not be contagious,” the report says.
“There is no need to photograph every person who walks into your local pharmacy.”
The photograph should include: body language, eye contact, breathing, face expression and general expressions.
If taking a self portrait is not feasible, consider taking a photo in public and posting it online,” it says.
