That’s the approach taken by a company called iBiquity that’s bringing an energy-efficient battery-powered smartphone to the market.

The concept is an interesting one.

Unlike conventional smartphone batteries that can charge in seconds, iBignity’s power cells are actually made to charge over the course of several hours.

Its battery can charge for more than six hours on one charge.

The battery can also be used to charge a smartphone over the phone network, without using up the power supply that powers the phone.
